Thank you Lipglossiping!

I was lucky to win one of the prizes in Charlotte's Advent Giveaway and the Postman arrived with my parcel during my shower this morning - cue hot soapy water in a trail leading to the front door!

I love my prizes! I got The Body Shop's Perfume Oil in Cassis Rose, and a bath lily with soap also from The Body Shop. The perfume oil smells divine, I'm absolutely loving it! I don't think it's going to last me long at all :)

Did you win anything in the Advent Giveaway? Let me know what you got! :)

Thanks Charlotte! x

Monday summary

Happy Monday everyone! How are you? I say this every week but Monday comes round far too quickly! My 5 good things:

1) Being organised. We just had a spring clean and I had a really good sort through all my clothes and everything, and it feels sooo good. I love this picture which I shamelessly pinched from Sarah's Tumblr - I really want to display my sunglasses and jewellery like this! An excuse to buy more jewellery and sunglasses? Perhaps..

2) Singing! I can't get this song out of my head from 500 Days of Summer :) It's also a song in The Wedding Singer which is one of my top films ever! This dance scene from the film is one of the best bits. <3 him!

3) It's my birthday on Wednesday and I've had lots of cards and money and gift vouchers so far (yes I'm naughty and open things early) plus my Mum is going to make a chocolate cake for me :) I can cope with being 25 if it means I can have cake!

4) H&M. Has anyone else noticed how lovely the clothes are in there lately? I must admit it's not a place I usually shop at but I went in to kill some time the other day and spotted about 4 or 5 amazing tops which were on average about £15 each! Plus their jewellery is super nice and really cheap too. I will be shopping in there more often I tell ya!

5) The Midnight Beast. I'm obsessed with their videos! Seriously.. I watch them repeatedly. Check them out if you haven't already! My favourite is the rap part way through "Down". Makes me chuckle every time!

Film review: 500 Days of Summer

At the weekend the bf and I rented a couple of films; District 9 and 500 Days of Summer (can you tell which one was his choice and which one was mine?) Everyone raved about 500 Days of Summer being really good and I missed it at the cinema so I couldn't wait to rent the DVD. I love Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is gorgeous :) Plus I'm a sucker for love stories - even though this one isn't very conventional!

As always I won't give the story or the ending away because when I watch films I like to have no idea of the outcome and I'd hate to spoil it for anyone, but as the picture above says "This is not a love story.. it's a story about love". It's not the usual boy meets girl, they fall in love, happily ever after type film. The stereotypical behaviour of boys and girls has been reversed and Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is the one doing all the chasing whilst Summer (Zooey Deschanel) is the commitment-phobe. Normally I like her characters (Yes Man, Elf, Failure to Launch) but towards the end of this film I actually hated her!

I really enjoyed this film and I would recommend it to all your girlies and your boyfriends too (mine enjoyed it but I'm not sure how much was due to the beautiful Zooey..) I will definitely add this to my DVD collection at some point!

I don't know about you but I love Zooey Deschanel's style. She always looks so quirky and different yet really pretty. She makes me want to go back to my natural hair colour and get a fringe (I actually rocked that hair style at primary school. I was way ahead of my time!) Enjoy the pretty pics...
